Timonius flavescens - Shrub or small tree to 12m. leaves exceedingly variable, elliptic to obovate, 2.5 – 20 X 1 – 8 cm, coriaceous, above glabrous, below with scattered hairs at least on the veins, apex acute to acuminate, base acute or less frequently obtuse. Male inflorescence with (3 -) 5 – 7 (- 9) flowers, flowers subsessile. Female inflorescence with solitary, rarely 3 flowers. Fruit ellipsoidal to globose, 8 – 12 X 8 mm, crowned by calyx remnants, pyrenes 4 – 12.
