Syzygium firmum - A large tree, -25 m tall. Twigs terete, pale cream brown. Young leaves copper grey-brown. Leaf lamina 10-17 x 5.5-11 cm, drying tawny-brownbeneath, purplish above; petiole 12-20 mm long. Flowers pale cream-yellow, -10 cm long; petals -6 x 5 mm. Fruit -2 cm diameter, green.
