Phaseolus lunatus - Small climbers or erect herbs, annuals or biennials; stems glabrous or pubescent. Leaves pinnately trifoliate; rachis 1-5 cm long; stipules 2-3.5 mm long; leaflets 3-15 x 2-10 cm. Inflorescences pseudoracemose, few to several-flowered. Flowers about 1 cm long, peduncles 5-10 mm long; petals white, yellowish or rose. Fruit 5-10 x 1.2-2.2 cm, with a short apiculate beak, 3-4 seeded. Seeds 1-1.5 cm long, 8-12 mm wide, 5-5.5 mm thick.
