Memecylon grande - A shrub or small tree. Leaves elliptic, 6 – 16 X 4 – 8 cm, obtuse to rounded at the base, acute or caudate and somewhat twisted and obtuse to rounded at the very apex, coriaceous, more or less shining above. Inflorescence lax, thyrsoid to umbel shaped, flower colours violet and purplish blue. Fruit globose.
