Calophyllum tomentosum - Tree, up to 30 m in high. Leaves stiffly chartaceous, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, rarely narrower, 1 X 5 – 2 X 7 – 5 X 15 cm, attenuated both ends, sometimes apex acuminate with blunt tip. Inflorescence axillary, 8 – 10 flowered, consisting of simple racemes, or once-branched, drnsely rusty tomentellous; flowers white. Fruit globose, with thin pericarp. Infructescences c. 2 cm long, fruit pendulous.
