Acacia ferruginea - Tree up to 8 m tall. Thorns stipular, 3-6 mm long, decurved. Leaves up to 10 cm long, usually glabrous; petiolar part with a circular or oval gland; pinnae 3-6 pairs, opposite, about 4 cm long; leaflets subsessile, glabrous, up to 20 pairs. Flowers in spikes, 5-10 mm diameter, pale yellow, sessile. Pod strap-shaped, thin, up to 12 cm long, 3 cm wide, dark brown; seeds oval, flat, 1-6.
