Court Lodge Tea Estate, established in 1890, is located in Kandapola within Sri Lanka's Nuwara Eliya district. Situated at an elevation of approximately 2,012 meters above sea level, the estate benefits from a cool climate and consistent rainfall, creating ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality Ceylon teas. The region's unique terroir imparts distinctive characteristics to the teas produced here.
The estate specializes in the production of Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe (FBOP) grade tea, known for its bright, light liquor and lively flavor profile. These teas are often described as having a delicate, floral aroma with subtle astringency, making them highly sought after by tea enthusiasts. Court Lodge's commitment to quality is reflected in its certifications, including Rainforest Alliance, ISO 22000:2005, UTZ, and membership in the Ethical Tea Partnership.
Covering an area of 264 hectares, Court Lodge Tea Estate employs approximately 349 workers.
