Sprawled across half an acre on the banks of the Bentara River, the inland waters of our home serve as a peaceful alternative to the crashing waves of the southern coastline not too far away.

Close by, the Bentara River offer unique adventures along our island’s inner waterways, while the world famous Bentota Beach sits a few kilometres away on the southern coastline. Not too far beyond our closest township, architectural masterpieces in the form of Lunuganga Estate – the country home of renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, and Brief Gardens – the home and studio of his brother, Bevis Bawa, sit snug in the coastal backlands where they are peacefully hidden from the buzz of the beachfront. Finally, the Beruwala Lighthouse found upon an island off our neighbouring town of the same name, also serves as a fascinating adventure upon the blue waters of our island’s south coast.
