Toyota-Auszeichnung
Der Allion wurde im Dezember 2001 als Ersatz für den Toyota Carina zum Verkauf eingeführt. Für langjährige Toyota-Fans war es ein trauriger Moment, den Carina aus dem Modellprogramm zu verlieren; dennoch wurde der Allion ohne Übernahme des Namens Carina eingeführt, da Toyota plante, den Allion als fortschrittliche Mittelklasse-Limousine zu positionieren, die das 21. Jahrhundert anführt.
In Bezug auf das Design verfügt der Allion über ein markantes und dynamisches Erscheinungsbild, das den jüngsten aggressiven Designs von Toyota ähnelt. Tatsächlich zeigte Toyota mit der Einführung des Allion seine hohe Kompetenz im Automobilbau, der mit dem Schlüsselkonzept „aufgewertet und luxuriös“ entwickelt wurde.
