Der Mitsubishi Rosa wurde 1960 von Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (früher China-Japan Heavy Industries) eingeführt und trug den Namen Mitsubishi Rosa. 1964 fusionierten drei Unternehmen mit Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, um Mitsubishi Heavy Industries neu zu gründen, und der Mitsubishi Rosa wurde ein Produkt von Mitsubishi Fuso, um den Fuso MB720 Minibus im Jahr 1966 zu ersetzen.
