O carro mais vendido do mundo, o Toyota Corolla Axio, é um carro compacto que ostenta vendas recordes, não apenas no Japão, mas também em todo o mundo. A primeira geração do Toyota Corolla nasceu em 1966, e a décima geração foi lançada para venda em outubro de 2006. A mudança completa do modelo foi aplicada apenas aos modelos Corolla Sedan e Wagon. Os modelos Corolla Runx e o minivan Corolla Spacio não foram alterados.
O Toyota Corolla Axio é um carro de passageiros pequeno. Ele é conveniente e fácil de manusear. O objetivo do design foi criar um carro que tivesse um exterior dinâmico, mas ainda compacto em tamanho, e um interior confortável de tamanho moderado.
O principal ponto que foi especialmente evoluído no modelo atual é a facilidade de manuseio. Todos os modelos sedan sob o nome Axio foram equipados com um monitor traseiro como equipamento padrão. Além disso, o volante está equipado não apenas com um mecanismo de inclinação, mas também com um mecanismo telescópico.
