Piper chuvya - A tall, almost glabrous climber. Leaves of fertile branches short- petioled, the lamina 12- 20 cm long, 6.5- 10 cm wide, obliquely ovate, obtuse to rounded and not or very feebly cordate but strongly asymmetrical at the base, gradually acuminate at the apex. Peduncle 1- 2 cm long. Pistillate spike in flower 7- 10 cm long, elongating in fruit. Flowers crowded, dioecious. Berries concrescent into a fleshy spadix.
