Link Natural Sudarshana Tablets are a polyherbal Ayurvedic formulation produced by Link Natural Products, a Sri Lankan manufacturer established in 1982. The product is a tablet form of the classical Sudarshana Churna formula — a compound preparation documented in the Sri Lanka Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia and referenced in the classical Ayurvedic texts Bhaisajya Ratnavali and Sharangadhara Samhitha, as well as the Ayurveda Formulary of India. The formula carries an Ayurveda registration issued by the Department of Ayurveda of Sri Lanka.
The formulation contains 53 herbal ingredients, all plant-derived. The principal ingredient is Andrographis paniculata — known in Sinhala as heen binkohomba — which accounts for half the formulation by weight. The remaining half comprises a further 52 herbs, among them Coscinium fenestratum (venivel), Tinospora cordifolia (rasakinda), Zingiber officinale (inguru), Piper nigrum (gammiris), Piper longum (thippili), Syzygium aromaticum (karabu nati), Curcuma longa (kaha), Cedrus deodara (devadara), and Sida rhombifolia subsp. alnifolia (babila). The full composition, as the manufacturer notes, is detailed in the Sri Lanka Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia, Volume 01, Part 01 (1994). In the Sri Lankan Ayurvedic tradition, Sudarshana Churna is described as one of the preparations used from the early period of Ayurvedic practice, and the formula has historically been dispensed at Ayurvedic hospitals and dispensaries across the country.
Within the Ayurvedic tradition, Sudarshana Churna has been associated with conditions involving fever — including epidemic fevers and post-fever complications — as well as cold, cough, asthma, and joint-related complaints such as back pain, lower back pain, and knee pain. These represent the traditional Ayurvedic context in which the formula has been used, as described by the manufacturer. Dosage, as stated on the packaging in both Sinhala and Tamil, is 2 to 4 tablets, to be taken as advised by an Ayurvedic physician.
The tablets are manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practices, with quality control applied at every stage from raw material intake to finished product. Each batch carries a batch number, manufacturing date, and expiry date on the label. The product is available in a white plastic bottle with a tamper-evident screw cap, in pack sizes of 60 tablets and 300 tablets. The dark green label with its yellow diamond panel carries text in Sinhala, Tamil, and English, and the Ayurveda registration number is printed on the bottle.
