Caralluma umbellata - Strongly succulent, leafless or almost leafless plants. Stems long decumbent or ascending, rooting at the base, up to 50 cm long, 1-2 cm diameter; sharply quadrangular, conocal teeth on the ribs; teeth 2-3 mm high. Cymes crowded at the to of the stems. Corolla 2-3 cm in diameter, uniformly purple-brown or yellow. Merocarps 10-15 cm long, 0.5-1 cm in diameter, glabrous.
