Capsicum annuum - A shrubby herb, 60-150 cm Tll; stems angular. Leaves solitary or paired, 2-10 cm long, 1-4 cm wide; petioles 0.5-3 cm long. Flowers usually solitary, pendent at least in fruit.; corolla lobes lanceolate, 4 mm long. Fruit pendent, about 5 cm long, yellow turning reddish. Seeds smoot, 3-5 mm diameter, yellow.
