Butea monosperma - Trees. Terminal leaflets 10 – 12 X 8 – 10 cm, obtuse and occasionally emarginated apically, cuneate basally. Inflorescence fasciculate-racemose, paniculate from some nodes, each tubercle 1 – 3 flowered. Fruit stipitate, light brown, obtuse or rounded apically. Seeds suborbicular, flat, hilum suboval.
