Cooking Class from Galle

When in Galle, visiting the Galle Fort is always a part of the to-do list and walking along the cobbled stone paths, passing through cafes, museums and traditional villas is an addition to your memories here in Sri Lanka. With time in hand, you can be a chef for a few hours with our Sri Lankan cooking class right within the ramparts of the magnificent Fort in Galle.

Conducted by a well experienced Sri Lankan chef, our cookery demonstration enlightens you about some of the most famous Sri Lankan dishes that are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. You are given the opportunity to learn the art of cooking mouthwatering gastronomic delights including Dhal Curry (Sri Lankan Lentil Curry), Pol Sambol (Coconut Sambol), Chicken Curry or anything else you wish to learn. Traditional clay pots and coconut spoons will be used while cooking.

An introduction will be given to you about the many ingredients and spices that will be used in cooking these dishes while afterwards you will be educated step by step about the curries and how to prepare them. You can even learn some cooking tips from the chef to make cooking more fun. Once the demonstration is complete, you will be able to enjoy a delicious meal within the Fort itself.
