Pareiyan Ella is a hidden waterfall located in the Atala village of the Badalkumbura area in Monaragala District, Sri Lanka. It lies along the Buttala–Badalkumbura road and is nestled within rural landscapes, offering a peaceful retreat for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.

The waterfall is formed by the Manik River, cascading over rock ledges to fall approximately 14 meters into a deep plunge pool. The surrounding terrain is forested and lush, with dense vegetation, mossy rocks, and a rugged stream corridor that supports local fauna and wet-area plant species.

To access Pareiyan Ella, visitors follow a turnoff from the main road near Kalugaha Lake and proceed about 1.5 to 2 km along a rural path to reach steps down to the falls. The journey includes walking along jungle trails beside the riverbank, climbing rocks, and crossing small natural obstacles. Around 200 meters downstream lies another taller cascade, Dunhinda Falls, which can be reached by continuing along the stream.

The best time to visit Pareiyan Ella is during or following the rainy seasons, when water flow is strong and the environment is most vibrant. In dry periods, the flow weakens and the path may be more challenging. The site is accessible year-round by road via Badalkumbura, though the final stretch is on less maintained rural roads, so caution is needed, especially during heavy rain.
