Världens mest sålda bil, Toyota Corolla Axio, är en kompakt bil som har rekordförsäljning, inte bara i Japan utan också världen över. Den första generationen av Toyota Corolla lanserades 1966 och den tionde generationen släpptes för försäljning i oktober 2006. En fullständig modelländring gjordes endast på Corolla Sedan och Wagon. Modellerna Corolla Runx och minibussen Corolla Spacio har inte ändrats.
Toyota Corolla Axio är en liten personbil. Den är praktisk och lätt att hantera. Designens mål var att skapa en bil med en dynamisk utsida men som fortfarande är kompakt i storlek och har ett bekvämt inre av måttlig storlek.
Den viktigaste punkten som har utvecklats särskilt i den nuvarande modellen är enkel hantering. Alla sedanmodeller under namnet Axio var utrustade med en bakmonterad monitor som standardutrustning. Dessutom är ratten utrustad inte bara med en lutningsmekanism utan också med en teleskopmekanism.
