Toyota Aqua
Toyota Aqua är en helt hybrid elektrisk subkompakt/supermini hatchback (B-segment) som tillverkas och marknadsförs av Toyota sedan 2011. Namnet är exklusivt för den japanska inhemska marknaden, eftersom fordonet exporterades till utländska marknader under namnet Prius c, och utnyttjade populariteten hos hybridbilens namn Prius och marknadsfördes som det mindre alternativet till Prius liftback.
Aqua anses vara den mest framgångsrika varumärkeslanseringen i Japan under de senaste 20 åren. I januari 2017 var Aqua/Prius c den näst mest sålda hybridmodellen från Toyota efter den vanliga Prius, med 1 380 100 sålda enheter globalt. Japan, som marknadsledare för Aqua, hade sålt 1 154 500 enheter av modellen fram till januari 2017. Aqua var den bäst säljande (icke-kei) bilen i Japan under tre år i rad, från 2013 till 2015.
Namnet Aqua betyder "vatten" på latin. Namnet valdes för att koppla bilen till en "bild av ren transparens" och "något som är universellt uppskattat".
