Spot rare and endemic bird species, discover ancient ruins of dwellings once used by monks, and identify orchids and other plant species hidden among the undergrowth. Feel the mysterious aura of this dense forest patch nestled in the heart of the city.

Itinerary:

  • 6:30 AM - Arrival at the trailhead of Udawatte Kele Sanctuary
  • 6:30 AM – 6:45 AM - Meet and greet, trail and forest reserve briefing
  • 6:45 AM - Start of the birdwatching tour and trek
  • 11:30 AM - Return to the trailhead
