Rumassalaberget
Rumassala är ett vackert berg som ligger 3 km öster om staden Galle, i Södra provinsen i Sri Lanka, och är direkt kopplat till Ramayana Yatra i Sri Lanka. Enligt Ramayana Trail-touren i Sri Lanka, tros denna ovanliga geografiska formation ha fallit när Hanuman bar Dronagiri-berget under sin flygning tillbaka till Lanka för att använda de livräddande Sanjeevani-örterna där. Dessa örter var nödvändiga för att rädda Lakshmana och Rama, som var allvarligt skadade i sitt krig. Därför är Rumassala ett av de fem Sanjivani bergen i Sri Lanka och en viktig plats för Sri Lankas Ramayana-tour.
Legenden
Enligt det berömda sanskriteposet Ramayana, när prins Rama's fru Sita blev kidnappad av demon-kungen Ravana, följde Rama tillsammans med sin yngre bror och apguden Hanuman henne till Sri Lanka. Under den intensiva striden för att rädda henne, blev Ramas bror Lakshmana allvarligt skadad och Hanuman skickades för att hitta de medicinska örter som behövdes för att hela honom. Det sägs att halvguden, i sin förvirring över att hitta rätt medicin, bröt av en bit av det heliga berget. Berget bröts i fem separata bitar, och en av dessa tros ha fallit där Rumassala-berget ligger idag. När han bar berget sägs det att delar av det föll på fem ställen i Sri Lanka: Rumassala i Galle, Dolu Kanda i Hiripitiya, Ritigala på Habarana-Anuradhapura-vägen, Thalladi i Mannar och Kachchativu i norr.
Idag står det majestätiska berget som ett bevis på de fascinerande händelser som nämns i epoken. Med märkliga berättelser om resenärer som har gått vilse i berget, är Rumassala också en fristad för örter. Forskare har funnit nästan 150 arter av unika örter som märkligt nog inte växer någon annanstans.

PidurutalagalaPidurutalagala or Mount Pedro in English, is an ultra prominent peak, and the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka, at 2,524 m (8,281 ft). Mount Pedro is located close to the city of Nuwara Eliya, and is easily visible from most areas of the Central Province. It is situated North-North-East from the town of Nuwara Eliya.

Lipton's SeatLipton’s Seat is a high observation point in the hills of Poonagala. Located on the top of the town’s namesake, Poonagala Hill, it is also near the Dambatenne Tea Factory. Lipton’s Seat is so named because the famed Scottish baron and tea planter Sir Thomas Lipton used it as the seat to survey his empire in a time long gone but not forgotten.

Ethagala (Elephnat Rock)Ethagala (the Elephant Rock) is one of seven rocks that overlook the town of Kurunegala, in Sri Lanka. The rock face reaches 316 metres (1,037 ft) over the town and in its shape resembles a crouching elephant, which explains the rock’s name.
