Chandanalepa Mens Whitening Cream is a 20g face cream from Chandanalepa, the Sri Lankan Ayurvedic cosmetics brand best known for its sandalwood cream. It is made for men, and comes in a small deep-blue jar with a white cap insert and a silver swirl pattern, packed in a matching blue carton printed in English, Sinhala and Tamil.
The front of the carton carries the line with Advanced French Cosmetology, and the formula pairs the French SEPIWHITE ingredient with lemon extract. Its listed ingredients include water, virgin coconut oil, lemon extract, alpha-arbutin, hydrolysed oat protein and ethyl ascorbic acid.
The cream is made by Sanjeewaka Ayurvedic Products (Pvt) Ltd at Udammita, Veyangoda, in Sri Lanka, the company behind the Chandanalepa name. The original Chandanalepa sandalwood formula dates back to 1948.
It is applied gently to a freshly cleansed face in the morning and at night. When out in strong sun, a sun protection cream of SPF 30 or above is to be worn as well. It is for external use only and should be kept in a cool, dry place, and use should stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
