Experience

We at Lakpura recommend that you start the tour early in the morning to avoid the harsh heat in the noon. This mountain biking tour is suitable for avid cyclists, those who enjoy cycling as a sport, and long-distance off-road cyclists. The entire journey is approximately 94 km, which can be completed between a time frame of 3 - 7 hours depending on your cycling pace. You will meet with your tour guide at the designated location, be briefed about the ride, and provided with bottled water, helmet, and a 10-speed alloy frame Jaguar racing bike.

Once these formalities are concluded, we start our mountain biking journey along with the tour guide. We will be heading to the heart of the Southern district where you will enjoy riding your cycle along country lanes, river banks, lakes with views of mountain ranges, lush green paddy fields, cinnamon plantations, rubber estates, and a working tea plantation in Akuressa. We will even cross over beautiful and quaint villages where you will witness local livelihood. Upon request, we can stop along the way near roadside vendors to enjoy a drink of fresh King Coconut and tropical seasonal fruit. The entire journey will be a truly memorable experience, but you need to be fit and healthy enough to cycle along the mentioned distance.
