Plectranthus zatarhendi; Iriweriya; ඉරිවේරිය
Iriveriya also known as Plectranthus zatarhendi belonging to the genus Lamiaceae is a valuable medicine used in Ayurveda for various ailments. Iriveriya is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows up to a meter in height. The trunk has knotted and the roots are bedded from the lower parts of the trunk. The shape of the leaves is heart-shaped and the edges of the leaves are slightly cracked. The inflorescence axillary are pale blue.
All parts of the leaves and roots of the Iriveriya plant are used for Ayurvedic treatment.
