Гора Румассала
Румасала — это красивый горы, расположенная в 3 км к востоку от города Галле, в Южной провинции Шри-Ланки, непосредственно связанная с Рамаяна Ятрой в Шри-Ланке. Согласно туристическому маршруту Рамаяна в Шри-Ланке, считается, что эта необычная географическая особенность упала, когда Хануман нес гору Дронагири на своем пути обратно в Ланку для использования жизненно важных трав Санжевани. Эти травы были необходимы для спасения Лакшманы и Рамы, которые получили серьезные ранения в своей войне. Поэтому Румасала является одной из пяти гор Санжевани в Шри-Ланке и важным местом для туров Рамаяна в Шри-Ланке.
Легенда
Согласно знаменитому санскритскому эпосу Рамаяна, когда жена принца Рамы, Сита, была похищена демоническим королем Раваной, Рама, вместе с его младшим братом и полубогом-обезьяной Хануманом, последовали за ней в Шри-Ланку. Во время яростной битвы за ее спасение брат Рамы, Лакшмана, был тяжело ранен, и Хануман был послан искать лекарственные травы, которые были необходимы для его лечения. Говорят, что полубог, в своей путанице в поисках правильного лекарства, сломал кусок святой горы. Гора раскололась на пять отдельных частей, и считается, что одна из них упала там, где сегодня находится гора Румасала. Пока он нес гору, части этой горы якобы упали в пять мест в Шри-Ланке: Румасала в Галле, Долу Канда в Хирипитии, Ритигала на дороге Хабарана-Анурадхапура, Таллади в Маннаре и Каччативу на севере.
Сегодня величественная гора стоит как свидетельство увлекательных событий, упомянутых в эпосе. С странными историями путешественников, которые теряются в горах, Румасала также является убежищем для трав.
