Chemicals, non-hazardous
  • Local customs req docm/literature to be provided to ascertain the properties/usage of the chemical.
Communications equipment
  • For phones and walkie-talkies, addressee requires approval fr Min of Defence and/or Min of Post & Telecommunications,
  • Mobile phones: addressee requires approval from Ministry of Posts & Telecommunication & Import Controller.
Cotton seed
  • Phyto Certificate from Origin required. Approval from the Agriculture Dept required to be obtained locally by addressee.
Drugs: non-prescription
  • Import control licence to be obtained by addressee from the Controller of Imports & Exports.
Drugs: prescription
  • Import control licence to be obtained by addressee from the Controller of Imports & Exports.
Films: entertainment
  • Addressee require approval from the Film Corporation for customs clrearance
Gambling devices
  • Restricted by local government. Addressee require special approval from Ministry of Finance.
Military equipment
  • Defence Ministry’s Approval must be obtained by consignee
