What to experience

You will begin your tour at 9:00 am from your hotel in Mirissa, where your chauffeur will pick you up. The first stop on your itinerary will be the Handunugoda Tea Factory, which you will reach by 10:00 am. While Ceylon Tea has been highly sought after for centuries, this factory is famous for a different reason. The Handunugoda Tea Factory has revived the ancient Chinese tradition of producing Virgin White Tea, which is untouched by human hands. During the one-and-a-half-hour tour, you will witness how this unique process creates one of the world's most luxurious teas.

At 11:30 am, you will travel to Ahangama to meet the stilt fishermen, one of Sri Lanka's most iconic cultural symbols. You will be able to watch them fishing and learn about their traditional methods.

At 2:00 pm, you will leave for the next stop, Galle City, arriving at approximately 2:45 pm. This coastal city has withstood three foreign invasions and has grown from a bustling port into a fortified, historic city filled with monuments that have survived the test of time. You will visit the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Galle Lighthouse, the National Maritime Museum, charming cobblestone streets with Dutch names, and various other colonial landmarks. Your city tour will conclude around 4:15 pm.

You will return to your hotel afterward, with the excursion ending at approximately 5:15 pm.
