Pasyale Peenasraja Oil is a registered Ayurvedic hair oil produced by Pasyale Ayurveda Osu (Pvt) Ltd, a company founded in 1960 and based at Dalugollya, Kadawatha in Sri Lanka's Gampaha District. The product carries Ayurvedic registration number Ayu.Reg.No. 6/2/1/2/7 and is made in a facility certified to ISO 9001:2008 and GMP standards as stated on the label. It is intended for external, topical application to the scalp.
The oil is drawn from a formulation within the Pasyale tradition and is also labelled in Tamil as Pasyale Maha Peenasraja Thailam, reflecting a preparation that the company has been making since its founding decade. The ingredient list printed on the label names Belle, Anguna, Aweriya, Red Onion, Wasaasi, Karabu Neti, Sadikka, Surudu and Kaluduru. Among these, Belle refers to the betel vine cultivated widely across Sri Lanka and long central to Ayurvedic practice, while Karabu Neti is the Sinhala name for cloves, the dried flower buds of the same plant known in spice trade as Syzygium aromaticum. The remaining ingredients are given here by their Sinhala names as printed on the label.
The oil is packaged in an amber glass bottle with a gold screw cap, a format that protects oil-based preparations from light degradation during storage. The option ladder ranges from a compact 30 ml bottle through to a 750 ml size, so buyers can choose a quantity suited to regular household use or to a first trial.
To use, apply a few drops and work the oil into the scalp with a gentle massaging motion.
