Pasyale Shuddha Thripala is a traditional Ayurvedic polyherbal preparation built around one of the oldest formulations in the classical canon. The word Triphala means simply 'three fruits' in Sanskrit, and the preparation has been central to Ayurvedic practice for centuries, valued for the breadth of its composition rather than any single constituent.
The three fruits at the heart of this formulation are Aralu (Terminalia chebula Retz), Bulu (Terminalia bellerica), and Nelli (Phyllanthus emblica Linn). Nelli — known elsewhere as Amalaki or Indian gooseberry — is among the most widely used fruits in Ayurvedic compounding. Aralu and Bulu, both members of the Combretaceae family, have equally long histories in classical texts. Pasyale combines these three ingredients in the established classical proportion, then presents them in tablet form for ease of use.
The manufacturer, Pasyale Ayurveda Osu (Pvt) Ltd, has been making Ayurvedic medicines in Sri Lanka since 1960. The company was founded by Hela Vidu Isi Deshamanya Pandith Ayu. Dr. Dharmadasa Raddalgoda, a sixth-generation descendant of a family that served as Royal Physicians to the last King of Kandy — a lineage that speaks to how long this knowledge has been held and passed on. The facility now operates as an ISO 9001-2015 GMP certified company, and the product is registered under the Sri Lankan Ayurveda regulatory framework, carrying Ayurveda Registration No. 6/2/1/02/7.
Each pack contains 180 tablets. The stated dosage is two tablets taken twice a day, before or after meals. Persons who are pregnant should seek medical advice before use. Pasyale is registered with the Sri Lankan Export Development Board as an exporter, and its products reach customers internationally. Each pack carries printed fields for manufacture date, expiry date, and batch number, so shelf-life can be tracked from production through to the customer.
