Toyota Aqua
Toyota Aqua è una berlina/hatchback subcompatta completamente ibrida elettrica (segmento B) prodotta e commercializzata da Toyota dal 2011. Il nome è esclusivo per il mercato domestico giapponese, poiché il veicolo è stato esportato nei mercati internazionali come Prius c, sfruttando la popolarità del nome dell'auto ibrida Prius e commercializzata come l'alternativa più piccola alla Prius liftback.
Aqua è considerato il lancio di marchio di maggior successo in Giappone negli ultimi 20 anni. A gennaio 2017, Aqua/Prius c è stato il secondo modello ibrido Toyota più venduto dopo la Prius standard, con 1.380.100 unità vendute in tutto il mondo. Il Giappone, come leader di mercato per Aqua, ha venduto 1.154.500 unità di questo modello fino a gennaio 2017. Aqua è stata l'auto (non-kei) più venduta in Giappone per tre anni consecutivi, dal 2013 al 2015.
Il nome Aqua significa "acqua" in latino. Il nome è stato scelto per associare l'auto con un "immagine di trasparenza pulita" e "qualcosa che è universalmente apprezzato".
