BMW Serie 3
La BMW Serie 3 è una linea di auto compatte di lusso prodotte dal costruttore tedesco BMW dal maggio 1975. È il successore della Serie 02 ed è stata prodotta in sette generazioni.
La prima generazione della Serie 3 era disponibile solo come berlina a 2 porte; la gamma di modelli si è ampliata per includere berlina a 4 porte, cabriolet a 2 porte, coupé a 2 porte, station wagon a 5 porte, liftback a 5 porte ("Gran Turismo") e hatchback a 3 porte. Dal 2013, i modelli coupé e cabriolet sono commercializzati come la Serie 4, stili che non sono più inclusi nella Serie 3.
La Serie 3 è il modello più venduto di BMW, rappresentando circa il 30% delle vendite annuali totali di auto del marchio BMW e ha vinto numerosi premi nel corso della sua storia.
La versione M della Serie 3, la M3, è stata presentata con la E30 M3 nel 1986.
