The Blue Water Lily (Nymphaea nouchali), which is also known Nymohaea stellata are more often referred to as the Blue Lotus, star lotus or the blue star water lily. However, it is mentioned that it should not be confused with Blue Egyptian Lotus or the Egyptian White Water Lily. The Blue Water Lily flowers boasts of anti oxidants as well as other important nutrients that are good for our health.
Also known as “Manel” among Sri Lankans, the flower has been used for over thousands of years as a traditional form of medicine. Our dehydrated Blue Water Lily flowers are foraged from the shallow wetlands of Sri Lanka, dehydrated under low temperatures, neatly and carefully packed in sealed bags to retain all its nutrients.
