About this experience
Der Udawalawe-Nationalpark liegt in der Trockenzone im Süden Sri Lankas und ist einer der zuverlässigsten Orte des Landes, um große Herden asiatischer Elefanten im offenen Grasland zu beobachten. Der Park grenzt an das Udawalawe-Stausee, dessen Ufer Wasserbüffel, Krokodile und verschiedene Wasservögel anziehen – eine einzelne Rundfahrt ist daher über mehrere unterschiedliche Lebensräume hinweg lohnend. Ein Tracker-Fahrer liest während der gesamten Fahrt die Landschaft und Tierspuren, um dir die beste Chance auf aussagekräftige Begegnungen zu geben. Eintrittskarten werden über Lakpura im Voraus arrangiert, daher gibt es keine Schlange am Tor bei der Ankunft.
Die Safari dauert drei Stunden in einem 4x4-Jeep mit maximal sechs Passagieren. Jeder Passagier erhält eine kostenlose Wasserflasche. Kostenlose Abholung und Rückfahrt sind für jeden Ort innerhalb von 5 km vom Parkeingang enthalten; Transfers über diesen Radius hinaus sind gegen Zusatzgebühr verfügbar. Bürger von SAARC-Mitgliedsländern haben Anspruch auf ermäßigte Eintrittsgebühren – legen Sie Ihren Reisepass zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs vor.

Highly recommended to spot elephants!
Being able to see a lot of elephants up close! Really a very nice safari, less diversity of animals compared to eg Yala, but definitely recommended!
