Mitsubishi Pajero
Mitsubishi Pajero je plně vybavené SUV (sportovní užitkové vozidlo), které vyráběla a prodávala společnost Mitsubishi po čtyřech generacích - bylo představeno v roce 1981 a ukončeno v roce 2021.
Název Pajero pochází od Leopardus pajeros, pampového kočky. Mitsubishi prodávalo toto SUV jako Montero v Severní Americe, Španělsku a Latinské Americe (kromě Brazílie a Jamajky), protože termín "pajero" má v španělštině hanlivý význam (znamená "blbec"). Ve Spojeném království bylo známé jako Shogun (??), což je název odvozený od japonského slova pro "generál". Model byl v Severní Americe ukončen v roce 2006.
Názvy Pajero, Montero a Shogun byly použity i na jiné modely, které nebyly mechanicky příbuzné, jako je Pajero Mini kei auto, Pajero Junior a Pajero iO/Pinin mini SUV a středně velká SUV založená na modelu Triton/Pajero/Montero/Shogun Sport. Pajero je jedním ze čtyř modelů od Mitsubishi (ostatními jsou Triton, Pajero Sport a Pajero iO), které sdílejí těžký terénní systém Super-Select pohonu všech kol, na rozdíl od lehčího systému pohonu všech kol Mitsubishi S-AWC.
Pajero dosáhlo více než 3,3 milionu prodaných kusů během své 40leté historie. Název přežil v podobě menšího Pajero Sport, který je založen na pick-upu Mitsubishi Triton/L200/Strada. I přes podobnost názvu sdílí Pajero Sport žádné ze základů původního Pajera a je menší velikosti.
