Boasting of the perfect rain forest environment and being one of the wettest areas in Sri Lanka, Kitulagala is a nature and adventure seekers paradise. One of the many activities that a nature enthusiast can enjoy is bird watching while a bunch of the country’s endemic low land bird species can be spotted around Kitulgala. From the Grey Hornbill to the Red faced Mal Koha and even the Sri Lanka Spur Fowl have been seen here. Mammals and reptiles also can also been seen roaming around the forest reserve.
