Dünyanın en çok satan arabası Toyota Corolla Axio, yalnızca Japonya'da değil, dünya çapında da rekor satışlar yapan bir kompakt araçtır. Toyota Corolla'nın ilk nesli 1966 yılında doğmuş olup, onuncu nesil Ekim 2006'da satışa sunulmuştur. Tam model değişikliği yalnızca Corolla Sedan ve Wagon modellerine uygulanmıştır. Corolla Runx ve minibüs Corolla Spacio değiştirilmeyen modellerdir.
Toyota Corolla Axio, küçük boyutlu bir yolcu arabasıdır. Kullanımı pratik ve kolaydır. Tasarımın amacı, dışarıdan dinamik bir görünüme sahip, ancak boyut olarak kompakt ve orta büyüklükte rahat bir iç mekâna sahip bir araba yapmaktı.
Mevcut modelde özellikle geliştirilen ana nokta, kullanım kolaylığıdır. "Axio" adı altındaki tüm sedan modelleri, standart donanım olarak arka monitörle donatılmıştır. Ayrıca, direksiyon simidi sadece eğilme mekanizması ile değil, teleskopik mekanizma ile de donatılmıştır.
