Experience:

You will start your tour at 8:00 am from your hotel in Hikkaduwa, where your chauffeur will pick you up. Your first stop will be the Handunugoda Tea Factory, which you will reach by 10:00 am. While Ceylon Tea is world-renowned, this factory is famous for reviving the ancient Chinese tradition of producing Virgin White Tea, which is untouched by human hands during production. During the one-and-a-half-hour tour, you will learn how this rare tea is made.

At 11:30 am, you will travel to Ahangama to meet the stilt fishermen, one of Sri Lanka's most iconic cultural sights. You will be able to see them fishing and learn about their unique method by speaking with one of the fishermen.

At 2:00 pm, you will leave for Galle City, arriving at approximately 2:45 pm. This historic coastal city has survived three foreign invasions and evolved from a bustling port into a fortified cultural landmark. You will visit the famous Galle Fort, the Galle Lighthouse, the National Maritime Museum, charming cobblestone streets with Dutch names, and many other colonial-era sites. Your city tour will conclude around 4:15 pm.

Next, you will proceed to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, arriving around 5:00 pm. You will spend about half an hour learning about the five types of sea turtles that nest in Sri Lanka and how their eggs are protected. You will also be able to see and gently touch baby turtles, as well as view fully grown turtles undergoing rehabilitation.

You will return to your hotel afterward, concluding the excursion around 6:00 pm.

Additional Note: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for this tour.
