About this experience

This eight-day tour runs from Negombo on the west coast up to the Jaffna peninsula in the north, then back down through the Cultural Triangle to Kandy and Colombo. It covers Sri Lanka's layered religious and historical heritage, from Hindu temples and sacred islands in the north to the ancient capitals of Polonnaruwa and the rock fortress of Sigiriya, finishing with the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy and a city tour of Colombo.

Travellers get a broad sweep of sights across four distinct regions in a single trip: beach time and a Negombo city tour, the temples and folklore of Jaffna and Nagadeepa Island, wildlife at Minneriya National Park, a village experience near Sigiriya, the Dambulla cave temple and a spice garden stop at Matale, and a Kandyan cultural show. The pace is steady, with most days built around one or two main visits plus transfers between regions.

The tour is run by Lakpura with a private chauffeur guide and air-conditioned vehicle throughout, covering transfers from arrival at Colombo airport to departure, with hotel stays arranged separately along the route.
