Ruhunu Elephant tea bags hold a low-grown Ceylon black tea from the Ceylon Elephant range of Battler, named after Ruhuna, the southern tea region of Sri Lanka.
The tea brews a rich, malty cup with a deep colour and bold taste. It is sold in two sizes; pick one above. The bags are foil-sealed to keep their strength, and the larger box is a practical pick for a busy kitchen or office.

Tasting notes
Dark and malty, with a full body that holds up well to milk, and a smooth finish.
How to brew
- Use one tea bag per cup.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then lift out the bag.
Serving ideas
Add milk and sugar for a classic Sri Lankan cup, or drink it with lemon or a sprig of mint. For a lighter cup, lift the bag out after 3 minutes.
