Kaolin Clay, also known as China clay, is a fine, soft mineral clay valued for its gentle texture, neutral pH, and versatility in skincare, haircare, and personal care routines. Naturally pale in colour, it helps absorb excess oil and surface impurities while leaving the skin feeling clean, smooth, and refreshed. Its mild nature makes it suitable for many skin types, including sensitive, oily, and combination skin.
Kaolin Clay can be used in facial and body masks, scalp treatments, cleansing powders, creams, lotions, and other natural beauty preparations. In haircare, it helps lift away dirt and excess oil from the scalp and hair. It may also be incorporated into carefully formulated oral-care products; however, it should only be used for this purpose when the product is specifically labelled as suitable for oral use.
How to Use: For a face or body mask, mix the clay with water, hydrosol, or another suitable liquid to form a smooth paste. Apply evenly, avoid the eye area, allow it to partially dry, and rinse thoroughly. For haircare, mix with water or a suitable carrier oil, apply to the scalp and hair, leave for 10–15 minutes, and rinse well. A patch test is recommended before first use. Avoid inhaling the powder and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
