About this experience

A Hurulu Eco Park safari carries you deep into 10,000 hectares of mysterious dry-zone wilderness — an evergreen forest where majestic Sri Lankan elephants play a dominant role in the ecosystem. The park serves as a temporary home for herds migrating between Minneriya and Kaudulla National Parks across Sri Lanka's dry and flood seasons, with the scenic Hurulu Wewa reservoir lying at its heart.

Travelling in a private jeep with an experienced driver who doubles as your tracker, you'll search dense shrublands and thick forests for wildlife. Alongside the ever-present elephants, keep watch for leopards, rusty-spotted cats, star tortoises, jungle fowl, parrots and hawks, with the reservoir a rewarding spot for sightings.
