About this experience
Head out to Habarana Lake — one of Sri Lanka's historically rich wetland sites — on this private two-hour birdwatching tour led by a qualified English-speaking birding guide and naturalist. Scan the shoreline and surrounding greenery for rare and resident species, picking out flashes of bright plumage through your personal binoculars. Your guide adjusts the monocular bird-spotting telescope and locks it onto each bird, so you get a sharp, detailed view without missing a moment. Keep an eye out for other wildlife as you move quietly through the habitat. Binoculars are provided for groups of up to two guests.
Your tour begins at the eco-lodge near Habarana Junction — arrange your own transport to this starting point. All taxes and service charges are included in the price. Food, beverages, tips, and personal expenses are not covered. Minimum age for this activity is five years. Lakpura organises this as a fully private experience, so the pace and focus are entirely yours.
