The Experience:

Your experience begins from your hotel at 7.00 am, where you will be picked up by our English-speaking chauffeur. You will be travelling in an air-conditioned vehicle. You can get a packed breakfast from your hotel to enjoy on the way or stop somewhere and have some at your own cost.

• Our first stop will be the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, which is located along the southwestern coast of the island. Here, you get to learn more about the Sea turtles, mainly about the five endangered species that are seen along the shores of Sri Lanka when it comes to their nesting time. Learn how the Kosgoda Turtle Care Program helps protect the nests until they hatch, which increases the chances of survival for the baby sea turtles. Guests are given the opportunity to see, touch and feed baby turtles or even injured adult turtles that the Turtle Hatchery cares for.
• Thereafter, we proceed to Balapitiya, where you can enjoy a peaceful boat safari along the Madu River. The river is home to a flourishing ecosystem while the boat winds through hidden passages that have been naturally created by the mangroves. You can even spot water monitors and crocodiles basking in the sun. You are given the opportunity to visit one of the small islands that are within the river's ecosystem. The island is known for its cinnamon harvesting and the natives who have carried out the industry throughout the years. You can even enjoy the famous fish massage that is known for its restorative qualities.
• Finally, we proceed to the historical city of Galle, where you will be able to discover the many hidden wonders. The city has a known history that extends to the era of the Portuguese and Dutch rule. You can visit the famed Dutch Fort, walk through the cobbled-paved streets, and make stops at the Maritime Museum, Galle National Museum, and also the lighthouse.

Upon completing the tour, we return back to your hotel in Negombo. We recommend comfortable walking shoes for this tour.
