"Ten Thirty Four (10.34)," the fourth novel by Gratiaen Award winner Aditha Dissanayake, is a dramatic love story with a unique blend of romance and environmental consciousness. Nandasiri Jasentuliyana, Former Deputy Director-General, praises the novel for its poetic quality and respect for the delicate balance of our planet. The story follows Kumi, a committed environmentalist, as she unexpectedly detours to her ancestral village in Sri Lanka. The dilapidated property becomes a paradise, challenging her plans to migrate to New Zealand with her fiancé. The novel's simplicity of prose, vivid imagination, and unexpected twists make it an engaging read, marking it as Dissanayake's best work to date.
