Udawalawe from Bentota (2 Days)

Board your private vehicle in Bentota and head inland to Udawalawe National Park for a two-day wildlife escape. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles all driving, fuel, parking, and highway tolls, so you can settle in and watch the landscape shift from coast to dry-zone forest. Two 500 ml water bottles per person are provided each day. Note that hotel accommodation, meals, and park entrance fees are arranged separately.

Over two half-day safaris — one during the day and one in the evening — you scan the park's reservoirs and open grasslands for Udawalawe's famous wild elephant herds. Alongside them, look out for water buffalo, spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, jackal, black-naped hare, mongoose, and the endemic toque macaque and grey langur. The tour is private and open to guests aged five and above, making it a comfortable choice for families and small groups alike.
