Peaks
Sri Lanka boasts diverse mountains and peaks, each with its own allure. Ritigala is shrouded in mystique with lush forests and historic ruins, while Mihintale holds cultural significance as Buddhism's birthplace. Namunukula, a hidden gem, offers serene escapes with breathtaking landscapes and cool climates.
Vrcholy
Hory a vrcholy na Srí Lance. Ve středních a jižních částech Srí Lanky se nachází několik hor a vrcholů s vysokým ekologickým významem a bohatou biodiverzitou. Tyto hory jsou chráněny jako lesy a jsou prameništi mnoha řek. Hora Sri Pada je posvátným vrcholem Srí Lanky, kam lidé putují uctívat otisk nohy Pána Buddhy.
Hornatá oblast (Hill Country) je mimořádně krásná, s křišťálově čistými vodopády a čajovými plantážemi rozesetými po celé krajině. Teploty v této oblasti zůstávají po celý rok příjemně chladné, s atmosférou časného jarního rána. Všude je zeleň a bujná vegetace, krajina je vyvýšená s vrstvami travnatých pahorků a členitých vodopádů, zatímco husté horské lesy se drží horních svahů. Dny v této oblasti plynou klidně – není zde mnoho co dělat, kromě pití čaje (v hojné míře) a vychutnávání si ticha, úchvatných procházek a výhledů.
Existuje zde několik malých měst, která rozhodně stojí za návštěvu, například Nuwara Eliya. Najdete zde také některé majestátní přírodní útvary k prozkoumání, zejména World’s End a Adamovu horu.
World’s End se nachází v národním parku Horton Plains, což je zvlněná vysokohorská krajina travnatých plání prokládaných lesy a neobvyklou vysokohorskou vegetací. Planiny se zvedají do výšky přes 2000 metrů a z okrajů náhorní plošiny se tyčí hory Kirigalpotta a Thotupola Kanda. Nejpozoruhodnějším rysem tohoto tichého a zvláštního světa plání je však World’s End, kde se planiny náhle zastaví a vy se ocitnete nad přímým srázem hlubokým 880 metrů.

Thotupola KandaTotapolakanda is the third highest mountain in Sri Lanka situated in Nuwara Eliya district 2,357 m above mean sea level. The mountain is located within the Horton Plains National Park. A trail to the top of the mountain, about two kilometres long, starts a few metres away from the Pattipola entrance to the Horton Plains National Park.

Riverston PeakThe Riverston Peak in Sri Lanka can be reached by travelling, about 30km away from the Matale town, down the Matale– Girandurukotte Road. This secretive windy road, with its sharp hairpin turns, offers some of the best views to the surrounding countryside; to the extent that it is called the Mini World’s End.
