Habarana village is located where A6 Dambulla-Trincomalee road meets A11 Anuradhapura-Polonnaruwa road in the district of Anuradhapura nearly on the border of adjoining district of Polonnaruwa.
Hiriwadunna Sri Bodhiraja Ormanı İnziva Yeri
Hiriwadunna Viharaya (Hiriwadunna Sri Bodhiraja Forest Hermitage), Anuradhapura Bölgesi'nde, Habarana şehri'nin sadece 2 km uzağında bulunan bir Budist tapınağıdır. Tapınak alanında eski yapılarla ilgili birçok kalıntı dağılmış durumdadır. Kral Wasaba tarafından yapılan eski Hiriwadunna Gölü tapınak alanına yakın bir yerde yer almaktadır.
Bu alan, birkaç yıl önce yerel bir rahibin ‘Apa Upan Me Helabima Budun Upan Jambudweepayai’ adlı bir komplo teorisi kitabı yayımlamasıyla popülerlik kazanmıştır. Kitap, Budda'nın eski Sri Lanka'da doğduğunu ve yaşadığını iddia etmektedir. Eski bir Bodhi ağacının kökleri altında kısmen gömülü olan büyük bir taş levha, muhtemelen bir Asanagara (Budda'nın sembolik oturma yeri), aydınlanma sırasında Budda'nın oturduğu yer olarak tanımlanmış ve bu yere Vajrasanaya denmiştir. Bu kitapta yer alan fikirlerin geçerliliği, birçok kişi tarafından reddedilmiş ve hatta kütüphanelerden yasaklanmış olsa da, Hiriwadunna, Sri Lanka'nın tarihi ve Budist mirasıyla ilgilenenler için görülmesi gereken tarihi bir yerdir.

Anuradhapura District
Anuradhapura is belongs to the North Central Province in to Sri Lanka.Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Lankan civilization. The city, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies 205 km north of the current capital Colombo in Sri Lanka.
In the sacred city of Anuradhapura and in the vicinity are a large number of ruins. The ruins consist of three classes of buildings, dagobas, monastic buildings, and pokuna (ponds). The city had some of the most complex irrigation systems of the ancient world, situated in the dry zone of the country the administration built many tanks to irrigate the land.
