Discover Sigiriya by Helicopter from Colombo City

Famed as the Lion Rock and locally known as Sigiriya, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is an ancient Rock Fortress which is a massive column of granite about 590 ft high. The remains of a palace is found at the summit of the rock while it has colourful frescoes on the sides. The name of the fortress has been derived from the massive lion’s feet carved into the rock half way up the site. We offer you the opportunity to enjoy views of this enormous edifice from above and circle around to witness the ruins which tells many stories of the past.

Robinson R66

You will fly in a state-of-the-art Robinson R66 Helicopter which showcases a luxurious four-seat layout complimented by a dedicated cargo compartment for the convenience of the guests. The R66 is certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), meeting the highest standards of safety and performance. The helicopter can accommodate only three (3) passengers.

Airbus H125

A versatile single -engine helicopter comes with standard configuration and is suitable for VIP transport or aerial work. Featuring a spacious cabin and ample leg room, this flying machine is known for its high altitude capabilities, advances avionics and powerful engine which is also suitable for demanding environments. The H125 has also been certified for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The helicopter can accommodate only five (5) passengers.

• Flying Time: 90 Minutes (Both Ways).
• Landing Point: Please note that this experience does not include landing at any location; it is a continuous scenic flight.
• Ending point: The ending location is also the same pickup location.

Flying from the coast, passing the plains and mountains, we head towards the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka where you will spot the magnificent Lion’s Rock or Sigiriya standing proud a midst dry forest plains and its beautiful gardens. Flying around this structure, you will surely feel amazed and at peace at the same time since it speaks volumes of a rich history when kings ruled and the land flourished. We will circle back to your landing point once the experience ends.
