Why Choose an Ethical Safari in Block 5:

Block 5 is a great choice for travellers who want a slower, more respectful safari. Ethical viewing helps protect wildlife behaviour, reduces stress on animals, and creates a better experience for everyone, because the best sightings happen when nature is allowed to unfold naturally.

Experience:

Step into the wild in a more mindful way and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of Yala's Block 5, where fewer vehicles often mean a more natural safari flow. The landscape blends open plains, thorny scrub, forest patches, and waterholes that attract wildlife throughout the day, creating excellent opportunities for photography and peaceful observation.

Leopards are the main highlight of Yala, and Block 5 is especially valued by guests who prefer a calmer route away from heavy crowds. You may also encounter elephants, crocodiles, wild boar, water buffalo, spotted deer, sambar deer, and golden jackals, depending on the season and animal movement within the park.

Bird lovers will enjoy a wide variety of resident and migratory species across lagoons and open scrubland. With the right timing, you may spot peacocks, herons, storks, pelicans, spoonbills, and many other wetland and forest birds, making this safari ideal for wildlife enthusiasts and nature photographers.

Notes:

This is an ethical safari experience. Safe viewing distances are maintained, wildlife is never chased, animal pathways are not blocked, noise is kept to a minimum, and park rules are followed at all times. Sightings depend on nature, so patience and quiet observation are key to the best experience.
